Brief History

The Department of Geography at Udayanath Autonomous College of Science and Technology has a rich history steeped in academic excellence, exploration, and a deep commitment to understanding the world around us. Established in 2017, the department began its journey with a small cohort of dedicated faculty members and enthusiastic students. Throughout its history, the department has been guided by a mission to foster a holistic understanding of the Earth's physical and human landscapes. From the study of natural phenomena such as climate, landforms, and ecosystems to the exploration of human geography topics including population dynamics, urbanization, and globalization, our faculty members and students have delved into diverse geographical realms with curiosity and rigor. Through fieldwork, internships, and research projects, students have the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world contexts, gaining valuable insights and skills that prepare them for a myriad of career pathways.

1. Celebration of National Geography Day each year on 27th January. 2. Exhibition of geographical changes and events by models and projects. 3. Conducting field surveys every academic year. 4. Conducting an Instrumental Survey Every academic year. 5. Measuring Temperature, Pressure, Humidity, and rainfall of College campus Regularly by Geography Students. 6. Conducting Parent-teacher meetings every year.
