The Department of Geology at Udayanath Autonomous College of Science and Technology, Adaspur was established in 2017, aiming to provide comprehensive education and research opportunities in geological sciences. Emphasis was placed on both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, with laboratory work and field trips integral to the curriculum. The department developed a geological museum and rock/mineral collection, serving as a valuable educational resource. The department established MoUs with local universities. These collaborations provided students with opportunities for internships and fieldwork experiences. The department organized seminars, workshops, and public lectures to engage with the broader community and raise awareness about geological issues. Plans are underway to expand facilities, enhance digital learning platforms, and increase interdisciplinary research initiatives.
